Your PC Help Guru!

Help Me, Fred!

I truly enjoy helping people to learn more about their computers!  At a minimum, I try to take some of the mystery out of your computer -- it's not just a "magic box" that sometimes needs a good swift kick to keep it running!
I can come to your home or office (usually within a 30-mile radius from Huntington Beach, CA), but I can also perform a "virtual house call" to anywhere in the world!  I just might be able to assist you remotely and solve you problem in minutes, assuming you have a relatively hi-speed internet connection.  Don't worry, it's very safe and secure.  And I would NEVER do anything unethical with your computer or files -- you can literally watch everything I do on your computer, just as if you and I were both sitting at your computer!  I've been doing this type of support for many years and have had ZERO complaints and ZERO issues in all these years.  I cannot access your computer without your knowledge and I WILL NOT access it without your permission!
When it comes to your computer, your home network, or your small business network, I can provide:

  • Consulting services -- what products to buy, install, upgrade, throw away, and so on.

  • Analysis -- what is happening to your computer and/or network that is preventing you from doing what you wish to do.

  • Advice -- what is the best solution(s) to your technical problem(s).

Usually, one of the first things people want to know is...

How much do I charge for my services?

Well, it depends!  If you just have a question or issue, and I can easily answer it over the phone or by email, I likely won't charge ANYTHING!  Consider it my way of giving back to the community.  However, if I have to actually spend some goodly amount of time on your problem, I will charge a very fair and reasonable price.  My rates are very low since my overhead is low.  If I have to come to you to fix your issue at your place, I'll charge a bit more than if you came to me bringing your gear with you.  Additionally, if I can fix your issue remotely via a "Virtual House Call" then I'll charge less than if I physically travelled to your location.

Bottom line: just ask me.  We'll talk a bit, and if I can help for free I will do so.  If I think it's going to be a bit more involved than a few minutes of time or effort, I'll tell you and we can discuss what to do at that point.  No pressure, NO OBLIGATION!!

On top of that, ALL of my work is guaranteed!  If you're not 100% satisfied, let me know and I'll either correct the issue or refund your money, no questions asked!

Disclaimer (you just knew there had to be one!):

I cannot refund for the costs of hardware that fails.  You will have to get your hardware refunds from the store or dealer you from which you bought it.  I won't recommend hardware that I'm not thoroughly convinced will solve the issue at hand.  If I recommend new/more memory, or a new hard drive, or a new mouse, etc., there's usually a good reason.  I don't make money off this gear, YOU are the one who purchases it directly from the store or dealer of your choice, YOU are the one who gets the warranty, and it is YOUR responsibility to get any refunds for non-working gear.  At my discretion, I may assist you in obtaining any refunds, but I am not obligated to do so.
